Health and Safety

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality are given prime consideration in our operations and it is the policy of KPS to continually maintain its performance in this area. Our business has a strong health and safety culture resulting in an excellent safety record. This reflects just how much time and effort we invest our staff and systems. Each of our employees has a legal obligation to take reasonable care of their own health and safety, and for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by their acts or omissions. Full details of the organisation, responsibilities and arrangements for Health and Safety are contained within our Health and Safety Policy.

Knightsbridge Property Services Ltd (KPS) is committed to ensuring the minimum of H&S risk for our employees, our client’s employees and for members of the general public. As such, all of our Operational employees undertake a mandatory Health & Safety induction. All field staff are provided with an induction training plan which includes training such as Safe Working on Ladders and Steps (including inspection), Mobile Towers (PASMA or PASMA Advanced), Asbestos Awareness (reviewed for refresher annually), Risk Assessment Workshop, Mobile Elevating Working Platforms (IPAF), CSCS as applicable to trade and Manual Handling Techniques. Please note this is not an exhaustive list of training provided but a selection we implement as a minimum to new employees where necessary.

We have a first class safety management system that meets the requirements of ISO18001. We carry out regular audits and reviews of our safety managements system and ensure that all of our staff are fully up to date with the latest legislation changes and industry best practice.

We carry out regular Safety and Compliance Audits of our supply chain to ensure they meet our exacting standards in health and safety. In addition to this we carry out detailed site safety inspections and provide detailed feed back to our supply chain to ensure that they continue to achieve the highest standards of health and safety on site.

Our health and safety consultant is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
