Project Overview
KPS supported the completion of roof and render works at Lloyds Folkestone, a Grade II listed building requiring a careful and conservation-led approach.
The project began following a roof leak and developed into a wider package of works, including a full roof replacement, replacement dormer windows, repairs to the front elevation and re-rendering works that respected the age and character of the building.
Challenges
The Challenge
The project required careful consideration of materials, finishes and visual details, ensuring that repairs and replacements remained sympathetic to the age and appearance of the building. This included maintaining undulations in the roof where possible, selecting appropriate render and paint systems, and ensuring window and dormer details were in keeping with the original character.
