KPS was appointed as principal contractor to deliver a change of use and upgrade project at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
The works involved converting a redundant clinical room into a four-bed endoscopy recovery room, requiring specialist coordination with medical gas, IPS systems and clinical curtain manufacturers.

As with all hospital-related works, the project needed to be delivered with minimal disruption to ongoing healthcare operations.
The scheme also required early engagement with specialist manufacturers due to a 12-week lead-in period for key materials. Careful planning was therefore required to ensure the works could be delivered efficiently once materials were available.

This allowed the project to progress efficiently while helping to minimise disruption to hospital staff, patients and wider clinical operations.
Result
The Result
The works were completed one week ahead of schedule, allowing the hospital trust to bring the area into use sooner than anticipated.
The completed project created a functional four-bed endoscopy recovery room from a previously redundant clinical space, supporting improved use of the hospital’s existing estate.
